Built by Blue Heron Boatworks (Thom Inglehart) in 2018, this contemporary replica St Lawrence Skiff features traditional lines, and blend of traditional and modern construction techniques. The lines were originally taken from a circa 1890's rowing skiff. Thom perfected the design over many builds and years of experience. The hull is constructed of 1/4 red cedar, bead and cove joinery, sheathed in 6 oz. glass cloth and epoxy making for a leak-proof hull. White oak ribs are added for a traditional look. Custom spoon blade oars. The decks are a blend of oak, cedar, and mahogany. Custom bronze hardware is cast for each boat. She is sold with a single axle trailer and custom cover. A great addition to a St Lawrence River boathouse, or any collection!
