One of the most prolific Gold Cup racers of the 1930's, "El Lagarto" was the first 3-time consecutive winner of the APBA Gold Cup, 1933-1935. Originally designed and built in 1922 by John Hacker, she was later modified following the APBA rule changes in 1929 to allow for stepped/shingled bottoms. El Lagarto received a 5-step bottom treatment and replacement power from a 621cid Packard engine. "Outlaw" is a reproduction of El Lagarto's hull, as it raced post-1930. She has been finished with a deep black hull and beautiful dark mahogany decks. Powered with a hot 454cid GM engine, she is a strong performer.
