A massive amount of time, care, and money has been invested into bringing this classic wooden Century back to its prime. I am only the 3rd owner of this rock-solid boat. The high-risk, heavy structural and mechanical lifting is already completely done by industry professionals. Clean Illinois title in my name.
Structural Restoration: The Hull & Deck Restoration completed by the legendary Fox River Valley Boat Company in McHenry, IL (established 1929). The structural wood ribs are 100% solid, and the hull framework is immaculate. The bottom is original and will require soak, due to limited use following the restoration.
Inspecting the Wood: The interior is currently completely removed so one can clearly inspect the pristine condition of the structural framework.
Mechanical & Powerplant: The Marine Y-Block Ford Interceptor was fully rebuilt, by Tom at Fox River Valley Boat Company.
Runtime: It has just 5 hours of total runtime (it has only been in the water twice since the rebuild). Engine has excellent oil pressure (needs standard break-in degreening).
Cooling System: Two brand-new Sherwood water pumps were just installed.
Lifetime Use: The boat has just 458 original lifetime hull hours.
Fuel Delivery: The entire fuel system was fully redone using a premium Holley marine Red electric fuel pump, regulator, and gauge, positioned under the rear bench seat.
Safety Switching: The fuel system is wired to strict Coast Guard standards utilizing a Holley safety pressure switch installed directly in the engine block oil gallery.
Filtration: A new 100-micron filter is installed prior to the pump, and a new premium Quicksilver spin-on water/fuel separator is installed after the pump to safely handle modern ethanol-blended fuels.
What is Included in the Sale to Complete the Project: Upholstery: A brand-new, factory-correct embroidered Century complete upholstery kit. It was made by A&A (the original manufacturer) and is new-in-box / ready for final skinning.
Bilge Pump: Brand-new premium Lovett 900 bilge pump included, new in box (ready for final mounting and wiring).
Cover: A brand-new custom full-fit boat cover.
Trailer & Storage: Custom trailer equipped with brand-new heavy-duty 10-ply E-rated tires. Sale also includes a custom wooden storage cradle.
