Built by Lyman Boatworks in Sandusky, OH; the 18' Islander model seats up to 8 people and is comfortable, easy to operate classic. The side-steer configuration allows operation from either the forward cockpit or aft alongside the engine. This example has been nicely restored and is ready to enjoy. Prior to restoration, she was a very nice original barn-find. Restoration included small repairs to the original transom and hull planking, hullsides repainted with 4 coats, bilge and bottom paint redone, original interior and deck varnish stripped/stained/7 coats of fresh varnish. The original Gray Marine model 620 engine was removed, opened up, inspected, and refreshed as necessary (100 PSI compression on all 4 cylinders). Now running a 12V system with all new wiring, electronic ignition, bilge pump, fuel pump, etc. New fuel tank and fuel line. Prop reconditioned and packing glands repacked with new flax packing. Sold complete with new cushions, fenders, paddle, lines, and safety equipment. The trailer is a custom fitted single axle.
