Dynamite, hull number 26-02, is one of 16 boats built by Hackercraft in 1950
and is the only 26' Runabout built in that year.
The original engine installed was a Scripts V-12. The boat was delivered to
Cleveland Propeller and was supposedly raced on Lake Erie for two years.
The owner of Chippewa Lake Amusement Park, Parker Beach, purchased this
boat in 1952 and named it “Dynamite”. The boat than became the famous
speed boat “ride boat” for the park. Dynamite remained in service at the park for
26yrs. The original V-12 Scripts soon wore out or was too temperamental
and was replaced by three other engines. The last one being the 1965
Seamaster 534 CID powerplant it now uses.
The engine and transmission (a Borg Warner velvet drive) have both been
rebuilt. The fuel system has been renewed with a 50Gal aluminum tank, Sierra
fuel filter, a 650CFM Holley and new lines and fittings. The water pump is new.
The boat also has a new custom wiring harness and new gauges.
Topsides and decks have been replaced with 5/8 thick Honduran Mahogany.
The bottom is 5200 construction.
This boat rests on a custom ordered, no expense spared, Load Master trailer.
This boat is turn key and runs perfect
