A very rare find, this is one of 3 forward-steer Ditchburn Viking models built by Ditchburn Boats of Muskoka, ON. The next evolution of the Vikings built between 1927 and 1929, the triple cockpit runabout featured the iconic stepped hull design the builder was known for. This example was purchased by the family of the current owners in the mid-1980's and subsequently went through a full restoration by Butson Boats. The bottom was fully replaced at this time, board and batten style over white oak frames. Still in very nice condition to this day, Mary Arden is a beautiful piece of Canadian boatbuilding history and a joy to operate. A total of 15 Vikings were built by Ditchburn and only 9 are known to exist today.
