Built in 1929, this is the very first Minett-Shields under the new partnership between Bert Minett and Harold Shields. "Wacouta" was the prototype hull design for the subsequent construction of two other split cockpit runabouts, "Fleetwood II" and "Llanlady". The planing hull design offers a fast and level ride. The boat sports its original, custom made hardware including the curved forward windshield, siren, and elaborate folding aft windscreen. Kept in Muskoka since day one. The original 6 cylinder motor was removed and replaced with a Buchanan 283 in 1956, and she has been more recently fitted with a modern Mercruiser engine. "Wacouta" has been beautifully restored and features a replacement, no soak bottom.
