John Matheson's boat building career in Muskoka's Port Carling, ON spanned half a century. He worked his early career under W.J. Johnston, one of the grandfathers of Muskoka boatbuilding history, before going into business independently around 1910. Many of Matheson's iconic launches were built between 1910 and 1923 before his short-lived retirement. This 23' example is believed to have been built in the early 1920's. She was fully restored by Wykes Boatworks and has lived on the Rideau Lakes since this time. She was repowered with a 4 cylinder Mercruiser at the time of restoration and has been in regular use. Sold complete with a trailer!
