Miss Canada Too is a custom built, “one of a kind” Gentleman’s Racer inspired by the world-famous Miss Canada III race boat built for the Wilson family by Greavette Boat Works of Gravenhurst, Ontario. She was designed by Doug Van Patten, who assumed design responsibilities at Greavette from John L. Hacker in 1937. Van Patten, a naval architect from Detroit, redesigned Miss Canada II, with the permission of its original designer, Hacker, and designed Miss Canada III and IV. His most enduring designs for the "Streamliner" and the "Sheerliner" models, which were built and sold for 38 and 29 years respectively. Miss Canada Too shows elements of Greavette designs and builds in her lines, rounded decks, navigation lights and deck support structure. Also unique to this boat is here teak planking. Originally powered with a Scripps Motor Company engine which was replaced with a Crusader 350 V8 in 1986 while she was being restored by Clift’s Marine. Owned by the Merswolke family since 1988 and boathouse kept, this is a rare opportunity to own this unique Gentleman’s Racer and an exceptional price.
